Tito Mboweni Calls It Quits On Social Media. The Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, has been on social media for some time.

The Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, has been on social media for some time. He has been posting his own opinions on some topics and he has also been showing off some of his cooking skills. However, on Wednesday he announce, that he would be staying away from posting on social media because of the supposed abuse that he goes through on social media.

He states it on his social media platforms . On Facebook he stated “Given the amount of abuse I go through on these social media platforms, I have decided not to be part of it. I have resigned. I will read your postings BUT you will no longer read my posts. So long my friends. I will only re-post other intelligent offerings. It was good but the time has come to say Goodbye.” He also went on Twitter, stating that the social media platform is not about its original function anymore.

“After a long thought process, I have decided not to do any original tweets anymore. I might, just might, retweet (not endorsement). I came to the conclusion that Twitter is no longer about is original purpose: ie to create a networked society. It is now an abusive platform,” says Tito Mboweni. The Finance Minister has recently been in the news for allegedly being in a s*x scandal along with Gwede Mantashe. Alleged messages between the minister and a lady named Lerato Habiba Makgatho have were published on Sunday World.
