Tweeps Talk About How Breadwinners Act With #EkeneBreadWinner using memes. They buy the food you eat, pay the rent for the house you live in to ensure that you have a roof over your head and they also buy the clothes that you wear.
Most families have that person who supports the family. They buy the food you eat, pay the rent for the house you live in to ensure that you have a roof over your head and they also buy the clothes that you wear. Hell, they may also be paying your school fees.
Black people know that the breadwinner in their house thinks that they own the people they support. They give you tedious chores because their also work at a 9 to 5 job trying to provide for you. Some of them even tell you that they own you in some way by telling you that maybe you eat and eat because of them.
This is totally not new. It may irritate some of you that this person, who is what we call black taxed, makes you work as if you are a “slave”. However, you won’t complain because that person does provide for you. Obviously you sometimes do complain behind their backs without them knowing just to rant a bit in order to release some of your frustrations towards them.
The Twitter streets made a whole hashtag for these types of people called #EkeneBreadWinner, which means “when the breadwinner comes in.” The funny twitter nation spoke about how the breadwinners act in most situations.
