Twitter Reacts To Barry Bateman Calling Julius Malema A ‘p**s’. Today a provocative word made trends on social media.
Today a provocative word made trends on social media. The word ‘p**s’ made headlines because of EWN reporter Barry Bateman. He allegedly referred to Julius Malema with the word when they just finished interviewing after his court session.
The statement made some people on social media frustrated. One tweep says, “Barry Bateman calling COSAS leadership “little s**s” to calling Julius Malema [ps] and it’s business as usual. That’s how they talk amongst themselves and we see it in their biased journalism.” One tweep replied to an apology from EWN to the EFF leader. The tweep says, “You can shove your apology where the sun don’t shine…in [Barry Bateman’s] [p**s]!” One tweep says, “Barry Bateman has locked his account…A whole journalist with a private account…That “pink” comment really stressed him…I wonder how he is coping.”
Some tweeps backed up the EWN news reporter. Some tweeps say they don’t blame him due to the way the EFF leader sometimes acts. One tweep says, “I do understand this guy for saying malema is a p**s, malema likes fighting. It’s like he grew up being bullied. He needs [counselling].” One tweep questioned as to why the EFF supporters don’t comment when the leader insults others. The tweep says, “Where are the EFF supporters when he insults? Where are the EFF feminists when he insults women…” EWN has apologised for the way Barry Bateman acted, they also suspended him. However, the EFF didn’t accept the apology from the media company.
