Two guys attempted to get into a prison, Voorberg, in Porterville, Western Cape. The Western Cape police states that the he men tried to get in the prison on Saturday so that they could allegedly deliver some mandrax. A warder made it aware that at about 1am that the men had cut the electrical wires that are around the side of the sports field called the Medium B prison, ccording to Captain FC van Wyk.
The warder was supposedly at the lookout spot when he saw the two guys. The two men attempted to enter the warder’s lookout spot but then were surprised to see that he was there. The Captains says one of the men was already halfway in the lookout spot when he was approached by the warder. “The two became involved in a [scuffle] and the warder took the backpack which the suspect had in his hand,” says Captain FC van Wyk.
The two men fled away from the prison. They, however, left the bag at the prison. There 350 mandrax tablets discovered by the police officer. The tablets were rolled up in the same looking rolls of sweets. The warder also discovered a cutter and rope. The two men are still being looked for by the police.
