NORTHERN CAPE – The Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lieutenant General Risimati Peter Shivuri has welcomed the arrest of two suspects in connection with possession of dagga weighing 97,6kg, valued at about R1, 4 million.
The two male suspects were arrested this morning (04:00) during a roadblock on the N7 road near Garies in Namakwa district.
The two were reportedly transporting food supplies and other items for a well-known supermarket from Cape Town to Springbok. The truck was searched and dagga was discovered.
