At 11H50 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the Millennium Bridge in uMhlanga Ridge.
Reports from scene indicate that two adult females sustained minor injuries when the driver of the light motor vehicle lost control knocking down a palm tree on Millennium Boulevard.
The Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services as well as the Netcare 911 Rescue Technician used the Jaws of Life to free the patients from the vehicle.
Both patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
All necessary authorities were on scene.
