Watch! Jacob Zuma Remembers A Mabena In His Life. Former President Jacob Zuma says the Mabena incident reminds him of a time when he was interviewed at prison in 1963.
Former President Jacob Zuma says the Mabena incident reminds him of a time when he was interviewed at prison in 1963. He said him and his other comrades were separated by the police. He said they were at a place called Hercules Police Station. He then said that when it was time for him to be interrogated, there was a black police officer and a white police officer in the interrogation room.
He then says he was sitting opposite the white police officer, with a table separating them. He was then asked a bunch of questions. He then says he was cheeky towards the white police officer when he was asked a certain question. He then says he replied to the officer in a violent manner out of anger. As the man was preparing to hit the former president, he called him by the “ k” word.
According to the former president, the white police officer said: “Wat se jy ker?” The sentence translates to “What are you saying ker?” The Mabena of Jacob Zuma’s story was the black officer who had to translate what the white officer was saying. The funny part for the former president were the man’s actions as he was translating.
Tweeps were in stitches. One tweep says, “Baba is such a great storyteller, absolutely charismatic and naturally hilarious.” One tweep says, “Msholozi’s sense of humour is just world class…” One tweep says you cant hate the man because of his sense of humour. The tweep says, “This legit had me laughing…uBaba’s energy is reciprocative, I mean how can you hate this man.”
