Man Arrested For Giving Metro Cop Middle Finger. In a video recording that was recorded by the police official, the man can be seen showing the official the middle finger.
A man was apprehended at Midrand on Saturday for supposedly being rude towards a Johannesburg Metro police officer. In a video recording that was recorded by the police official, the man can be seen showing the official the middle finger. The man supposedly didn’t want to stop when he was stopped by two police officials at two different times, according to the police.
The police official that the man was rude towards was a woman. “The driver swore at a female officer and asked to see her appointment card. He showed her his licence and showed her his middle finger,” says Wayne Minnaar, the Johannesburg Metro Police Department spokesperson. The man was apprehended for crimen injuria, blocking an officer from doing its job and combatting apprehension.
He was put at the Midrand police station. The Johannesburg Metro Police Department police spokesperson says that rudeness towards officers will not be tolerated. “Disrespect of JMPD officers will never be tolerated. Anyone who disrespects the JMPD uniform and the badge will be harshly dealt with and arrested,” says Wayne Minaar. One woman was also arrested on Tuesday for driving off with a traffic officer on the bonnet of her car. The woman was charged for failing to corporate with an officer, negligent driving and for combatting apprehension.
