Watch! Puppy Allegedly Hurt By Teenage ‘Bodybuilder’ Takes First Few Steps After Being Amputated. The dog’s leg was amputated on Monday.
The puppy that had its leg fractured allegedly by a teenage bodybuilder in Bloemfontein on Sunday has taken its first few steps since after the incident. The dog’s leg was amputated on Monday. A video recording posted by the Bloemfontein Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals on the Facebook page on Thursday shows the dog moving with his three legs.
He doesn’t seem to be troubled by his one missing leg, he can move around an area with his three legs with ease and without losing any balance. On Wednesday, the organisation told News24 that it was overwhelmed with the amount of support it was getting from the public after it saved the puppy from the home in Bayswater, where it was found in severe pain. A teenage ‘bodybyuilder’ told officials that he had broken the puppy’s after searching how strong bones were.
He thus also searched how much force would be needed to break the bones. This was supposedly an attempt at testing his strength. Duan Mathee, the Bloemfontein Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, was surprised by the number of peoplethat funded the dog, Rover’s, surgery. “We’ve had more than 300 people saying they want to adopt Rover and we have had more than 30 formal applications. We could also cover all the medical costs. A case of animal cruelty was opened against the teenager on Wednesday, according to Duan Matthee.
