Watch: These People Brag With SASSA Money. In the second part of the video, the female records the money that they received from the SASSA cards.
The South African Social Security Agency, SASSA, is horrified after seeing the footage of the men that have been bragging with stolen money and stolen SASSA card. The video made its rounds on the internet. The footage shows a female who is recording and stating that she received her share of the cards, which is 75 cards.
In the second part of the video, the female records the money that they received from the SASSA cards. There is also a male person speaking in the background. The SASSA spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi, says the issue is still being examined and the procedure was made in confirming the originality of the allegations. The examination procedure is also used to understand the relevant criminals.
Paseka Letsatsi says, “There has not been any untoward increase in the monthly value of the grants paid, which raises suspicion that these allegations may not be genuine.”
Letsatsi says that each card that they provide gets money once the allowance management has been pursued by SASSA. They also need to verify that the person who is allowed to get the allowance gets the money that is meant to be given to them. The SASSA spokesperson says that the money must be connected to the person that should be getting it before it can be withdrawn.
The SASSA spokesperson says, “In the event of card fraud, the genuine beneficiary is reimbursed by SASSA for any loss once this has been confirmed through investigation.”
In the case of card fraud, the person who should be receiving the money must write an affidavit at the post office and they must come with their Identity Document. A few people have been previously apprehended because they stole SASSA cards and money.
