A video recording of Vegans protesting against the abuse of animals made rounds on the internet. The video shows people getting treated like animals as a way of showing how the animals are treated before they are consumed by a lot of people. The video starts by showing people getting branded with a hot iron rod. The people were being branded like cattle.
The video then shows two women being pushed around and pulled with chains tied around their necks. One participant says that he chose this type of protest to show that this is how animals live every day. The participant went on to say that his showing his solidarity with the animals.
“I made this choice because animals are living this every day before being killed. I want to pay tribute and show my solidarity.” The people say they chose this extreme form of protesting to show their humanism and empathy. Some tweeps believe that this type of protesting was not really necessary, with some saying these people are just trying to indulge their fetishes in public.One tweep says, “So we can all agree this is just an excuse to indulge their kinks in public, right? Cause that just looks like kink play to me.”
One tweep taunted the protest. The tweep says, “me watching while I’m eating my cheeseburger.” Some tweeps say that slaves were actually treated this way. One tweep says, “ “To show the pain that animals go through”…ya’ll remember when African slaves were sol, branded, and mistreated like cattle.?????” One tweep says, “friendly reminder many slaves (actual humans btw) were branded and treated like this and worse.” One tweep says, “Do they realize that our skin and cattle skin is different?”
