WESTERN CAPE – With illegal possession of firearms high on our priority list, members of Grassy Park police conducted a search operation at a residence in Parkers Walk Parkwood, Grassy Park early this morning which led to the discovery of a prohibited 9mm pistol and 13 rounds of ammunition. The members reacted on information and arrested the suspect with links to a local gang. During his arrest he resisted and was assisted by another male person, who was arrested for hindering a police officer in the execution of duties. In an unrelated police intervention, members of the Public Order Policing were conducting crime prevention duties this morning in Delft when they spotted a suspicious male person in Bergbessie Road Rosendal.
