A Western Cape Hawks officer was murdered in her home on Sunday evening. Colonel Christelle Stemmet was shot at her home at Table View. Lieutenant Colonel Philani, the Hawks spokesperson, states that the 47-year-old officer was shot twice and passed away the scene of the event.
Two bullet shells were discovered at the place of the incident, according to news24. However, the gun that was used to murder the official has not been found yet. It is reported that one of her friends called the cops after the shooting pursued. News24 reports that a source near the prior examinations states that the shooting was due to a family altercation. The Hawks sent the officer’s loved ones their condolences in a statement on Monday.
“The untimely passing of our member attached to Serious Corruption Investigation team, occurred on Sunday evening at her home in West Beach at Table View,” read the statement. Lieuutenant Philani Nkwalase says, “It is alleged that two shots were fired and she was fatally wounded. The motive of the incident is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the locl detectives; however, preliminary investigation at this stage has ruled out any links to the Hawks’ investigations that she was handling.” The Hawks spokesperson says a docket has been opened to look at the passig way of the official.
