What Actions Did Some Top Churches Take In The Midst Of Coronavirus Outbreak #COVID19SouthAfrica. On Sunday, the president of South Africa declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus.
On Sunday, the president of South Africa declared a national emergency due to the coronavirus. He thus put some safety measures in place that are set to be followed by every citizen. One of these measures include the banning of public gatherings that include more than 100 people to restrict the spread of the virus. Schools are also set to close on Wednesday. Some churches have taken measures in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.
Alleluia International Ministries, the church of pastor Mboro, will be continuing as normal. However, the pastor has asked his congregants to practice good hygiene, as reported by ‘Move!’. The pastor says God has showed him that the outbreak will occur in 2020, so he was not shocked by the occurrence. “More than anything, this is a call to depend on God. Because God is still Good. He still sits on his throne. What we need to do is take better care of ourselves and listen to what we’re being told. My grandmother used to say ‘cleanliness is next to Godliness’ and she was right.”
Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s has cancelled physical church at his Enlightened Christian Gathering Church. However, he has promised to give his congregants virtual church. “…your safety is my top priority. With that said, it is of our great love for you that I announce that, ALL services in all our South African churche, shall be postponed until further notice…,” says Shepherd Bushiri.
