Why Did Meghan Markle Take Off Her R2.6 Million Ring When Going To SA Township? The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was seen not wearing her engagement that’s worth an estimate of R2.6 million as part of the Royal tour.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was seen not wearing her engagement ring that’s worth an estimate of R2.6 million as part of the Royal tour. She does this on the second day of her tour of Africa as part of her wish to supposedly stay low key as she resumes her tour at the ‘therapy beach’ in Cape Town on Tuesday. She, however, kept on wearing her gold wedding ring.
The Daily Mail reports that she changed her eternity ring, which she was wearing on Monaday, with a R3 729 turquoise ring from Jennifer Meyer. The Duchess was first seen not wearing her engagement ring on her first tour on Monday. She was only seen wearing her gold wedding ring along with her wedding anniversary ring, the eternity ring. She also chose to wear R9 000 diamond and turquoise ear accessories by Jennifer Meyer, along with a gold chain necklace when she was heading to Cape Town’s Nayanga urban area on Monday.
The choice of not wearing her engagement ring and to go for designers that are at a reasonable price is part of her plan to keep the tour low key. The Duchess of Sussex is said to like the Jennifer Meyer brand, which is made by the former wife of Tobey Maguire. On their first tour, Meghan Markle and Harry were both seen wearing matching beaded bracelets that read the phrase ‘Justice’. The bracelets were given to them by local children. She also showed her backing for African fashion designers by wearing a black and white printed wrap dress from a Malawian fashion brand title Mayamiko. The Nyanga area was the first area that they visited ontheir South African tour.
